Observations with the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) of YY Gem took
place between 03:00 and 11:00 UT on 5 and 6 March 1988. Scans of the relevant
pages in the observation record book are shown in the pdf file
IUE-OBSERVATION-LOG.pdf.

Observations were made with the LWP and SWP cameras and to save time in
downloading images, double exposure were made in the long-wavelength camera,
usually of 10 minutes each. This was not necessary for the SWP camera for which
the exposures were longer. The observer was Bernard Foing.

The data were extracted by C.J. Butler using the STARLINK package IUEDR and
fluxes, corrected for background, determined for the prominent emission lines in
MgII and Lyman Alpha. Ly Alpha was corrected for geocoronal emission by Doyle,
using the method of Byrne and Doyle (1988).

In the files: ly_alpha-phase-e-12-errbar.dat and mgii-phase-e-12-errbar.dat
the fluxes are given in units of 10^-12 ergs cm^-2 s^-1, with phase in column 1,
flux in column 2 and the estimated error in column 3.
