Looking for a Pulse
Artist's impression of a brown dwarf with "super-aurorae" at its magnetic poles,
causing the pulsed radio emission.
This lecture was delivered by Prof. Gerry Doyle of Armagh Observatory to
a meeting of the
Irish Astronomical Association held on 10th December 2008
at QUB Physics Department. It presents recent observations and new
understanding of radio emissions from
brown dwarfs and similar objects.
