We perent radio flux measurements at 5 GHz for a sample of RS CVn-type chromospherically active binary systems made from 1988 to 1992 using the NRAL broad-band interferometer (BBI). The derived radio luminosities are consistent with previous observations but show that radio flaring is a common feature which will affect the results of rotation-activity studies. The mean brightness temperature for our sample, assuming a radio source size equal to twice the radius of the active stellar component, is consistent with a gyrosynchrotron emission process from mildly relativistic electrons. Key words: stars: activity - stars: late type - stars: binaries: close - stars: flare - stars: variables - stars: radio continuum
