Leonid meteor
Two Leonid meteors in one clip
The video clip linked below shows two Leonid meteors occuring within a few seconds of each
other at 05:41 am on the morning of 19th November. The constellation at the
center of the video image is Ursa Major (the Big Bear). A modest outburst of
Leonids was predicted to occur approximately an hour earlier and, indeed,
evidence of such an outburst was seen by some observers. These two
meteors may be part of the tail end of the outburst or they could be part of
the annual background activity from the Leonid stream.
