JOINT ADMINISTRATOR

The Governors of the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium wish to appoint a
Joint Administrator who will be responsible to the respective Directors
of the Armagh Observatory and the Armagh Planetarium for the financial,
personnel and administrative functions of both institutions.

The salary is based on the Northern Ireland Civil Service Deputy
Principal and Analogous Grades pay scale, band range ё31,663 to ё38,893
(as at 1 August 2009).

The Armagh Observatory is a modern astronomical research institute with a
rich heritage. Its principal function is to undertake original research
of a world-class academic standard that broadens and expands our
understanding of astronomy and related sciences, and which enriches the
economic, social and cultural life of the community. The Armagh
Planetarium is an educational institution, serving the needs of local
schools and communities as a repository of knowledge and information
about the cosmos.
