In these movies, X-ray image is shown on the left and longitudinal magnetogram is displayed on the right. X-ray images are dispalyed in reversed color. Black dotted squares with digital inside represent brightening events studied in the paper. The black solid squares on X-ray images represent the location of SOT field-of-view. The contours draw the coronal hole boundaries. The dark red symbles over-plotted on X-ray images represent the brightening indentifications.

In the events movies, X-ray image is shown on the left and longitudinal magnetogram is displayed on the right. X-ray images are dispalyed in reversed color. symbols on magnetograms represent magnetic elements identified by the automatic feature tracking software, SWAMIS. "+"s represent magnetic element identified before the idicated time and followed in the current time, "*"s represent new identified elements and small squares represent new identification which defined as flux emergence in SWAMIS. In some movies, there is a black square on magnetograms in order to highlight the region associated with the brightening event.

By comparing magnetic field at the start and the end of the observations, the global magnetic field in the coronal hole remains very similar during about nine hours of the observation.

Magnetic cancellation site without X-ray response

A region shows clear magnetic flux cancellation but no X-ray brightening occurred. Click here to view magnetogram evolution in this region, and click here to view X-ray frequence image.
