From: TerryMoselaol.com Date: Fri, 4 Jun 2004 19:16:48 EDT Subject: VENUS IN SOHO! Hi all, Watch Venus close in on the Sun over the next few days on the SOHO Lasco C3 images! Visit: http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/realtime/c3/512/ Venus is the brilliant object on the left; you can also see Aldebaran on the lower right at the moment, but it will gradually be left behind over the next day or so as the Sun moves inexorably on along the ecliptic. Eventually Venus should show up on the closer images too, e.g. Lasco C2 There's something majestic about this, isn't there? - the sheer inevitability of it, compared with the unpredictability of human things.... Clear Skies for Tuesday morning! Terry Moseley
