Subject: Article on Eamon Ansbro, The Argory, Events

Hi all,

1. You might be interested to read the "Main Cover Story" in the September
issue of "UFO Magazine" which is a major interview with well-known Irish amateur
Eamonn Ansbro & his "Optical SETI" search prgramme at his observatory at
Kingsland Co Roscommon. This major 8-page feature by Graham Birdsall, the editor
of the magazine, interviews Eamonn & his discusses his theories on
extra-terrestrial probes visiting Earth, and his other astronomical interests. I'm not
sure how long it will be available, but it is still on the bookshelves in
Belfast.

2. I'm still looking for people with telescopes, or without, to come to the
special IAA Telescope Event at The Argory, near Moy, Co Tyrone, on Saturday, 1
p.m. - 5 p.m. Please let me know if you can attend.

3. Also remember:
Saturday AND Sunday, 8 - late, Mars at WWT, Castle Espie, near Comber.

Academy, 19 Dawson St, Dublin, by Prof Wendy Freedman (Director, Carnegie
Observatory): "Measuring The Expansion of the Universe" followed by a reception. Tickets

preceded by a reception at 17.30 in the Canada Room, Lanyon Building (the main
'old' building of QUB). Tickets from , or tel. 028 9027
4729.

Admission to both these is FREE: if you think that you might not receive your
ticket(s) in time, just keep a copy of your confirmatory email, and that
should get you in, certainly to the one in Belfast.

Clear Skies,
