From: TerryMosel@aol.com Date: Sun, 8 Dec 2002 08:24:38 EST Subject: 600th Sky At Night, IAA Hi all, The 600th edition of the Sky at Night will be broadcast this evening (Sun night/Mon a.m.) at 24.50, on BBC1, repeated Sat 14th at 11.30 on BBC2. Sir Patrick will be talking to Astronomer Royal Sir Martin Rees on Cosmology, particularly the latest theory on the 'Accelerating Universe' - should be good! It will be repeated next Saturday at 11.30 on BBC2. I'll have some exclusive special commemorative t-shirts at the IAA meeting on 11 December, price around 11 / 12 pounds - see below. Next IAA meeting will be on Wednesday 11 December, 7.30 p.m., Lecture Room 5, Stranmillis College, Belfast. Robert Hill from Armagh Planetarium will give a talk entitled "The History of Space Exploration". Free admission to all, even visitors. We'll also have some seasonal refreshments, all free, so let's see lots of you there! If you have any material for the next STARDUST - observations, photos, reports, articles, letters, etc, let me have them asap. Thanks. Terry Moseley
