Some Similar Structures

The 4 minute looped animation 'Some Similar Structures' looks at a variety of structures across the universe which share similar forms but may be separated by light years or hugely differing scales. Some of the structures are observed whilst others are as yet theoretical but none of them can be observed directly with the naked eye.

This work is part of a series of work (Quantum Questions for Dummies) being made in consultation with astronomers from Armagh Observatory. Through coversations and exchanges with astronomers discussions about one structure lead into conversations about other similar or related structures. Hence the animation allows structures to 'morph' into each other in their transition from one form into another.
