Photometrical Properties of Bars of Galaxies.
I. Mean Surface Brightnesses and Integral Color Indices for Bars

Abstract:
UBVRIJHK surface brightnesses and color indices of bars of galaxies
are determined using surface photometry data for 100 barred galaxies
(table1.dat). The mean brightness distribution of bars in B-passband
shows two maxima, 21.0m/sq.arcsec. and 22.2m/sq.arcsec. for the
late- and early-type galaxies, respectively. A difference between
mean surface brightnesses of the bar and the galaxy as a whole
(within 25.0m/sq.arcsec. isophote) increases from 1.1m/sq.arcsec.
for SB0 galaxies to 2.3m/sq.arcsec. for SBc-IBm galaxies. The mean
color indices of the bars do not depend on a maternal galaxies type.
Exception is the (B-V)0 and (R-I)0 color indices.
