Abstract

Three large astronomical observatories-- ICAMER, SAO and BNO JNR RAS- are located in the compact area of the Northern Caucasus. The observatories are equipped with a wide range of detectors for different wavelengths and energies. The unification and synchronization of data-flows from these telescopes will allow one to carry out astronomical observations at a new level and to realize a virtual observatory with new capabilities for space research. The analysis of the main principles of such observatory and the description of its infrastructure and data-flows are given below. The equipment for data exchange is already installed at the Terskol Observatory to provide a connection with BNO within the project of the virtual observatory.
