Tom's POVRay Thermastatic Shower Valve
The picture above was made with this
demo POV file and
this shower valve object POV file
About this Object
This object is loosely based (visual, no measurments) on the SigmaTherm
thermastatic shower valve by Sigma Faucets. It consists of a temperature
adjustment, and two valves for controlling a tub filler and showerhead
(for example).
The exterior corners on the back plate rounded but interior corners are
not. Also, the knobs handles all have visible joints which are not
smoothed.
Specs
The valve lies on the Z=0 plane, and extends out in the positive Z direction,
by 2.86 units to the central knob. The two valve knobs extend 1.57
units in the positive Z direction.
The back plate of this valve is 8 units in diameter.
Problems and Future Work
It would be nice to smooth out all of the joints, although it doesn't
look wrong this way, just different. The knobs and temperature indicator
aren't set up to move easily (e.g. with a macro).
