Tweets about JWST@SXSW

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is making an appearance at SXSW 2013 under the label JWST@SXSW. Following on from my AAS 221 twitter analysis, I am having a look at what tweets contain the term JWST.

• Here is a neat way to view and explore the tweets, using the way-cool TAGSExplorer visualization. The data used here covers a larger time range than the other visualizations, and also includes some "unrelated" tweets, sush as those mentioning the user Y_jwst_M.

  Follow these instructions to create your own and see how to combine the Google Query Language with the Tweet display.

• A quick overview of the tweets.

• When did people tweet about JWST?

• What were the most-popular words used.

• Who was tweeting about JSWT?

• Who tweeted about JSWT (a look at their Twitter biographies in the form of a word cloud)?

• A look at who talked about or to who (a constellation of Astronomers); this is similar to the TAGS Explorer view.
