A small image (512 X 512) using display

To display an image, once SAOimage or Imtool is running:

  cfa#: cl             # Initiate IRAF from within one of the windows
  cl> images                              # Load the relevant package
  im> xray                    # Necessary if demonstration file used.
                 # Not necessary if you use file in current directory
  xr> tv
  tv> display xdata$snr             # will display central 512x512 of
                                        # a 1024x1024 Einstein image.
  frame to be written into (1:4)(1): 1   # Although IRAF recognizes 4
                                   # buffers, SAO image only has one.
