Note on Data ProcessingAll data here have been generated from evt1 files downloaded from the CXC archive. Currently available CALDB files have been used to convert evt1 to evt2 files.No pixel randomization and no pha randomization have been applied (which does not affect the result). Two evt2 files are made, one has been time-filtered to exclude background flares from charged particles using the CIAO script "analyze_ltcrv.sl". These filtered evt2 files have been used to generate spectra. If the remnant is bright and the flares are small, then the UN-filtered evt2 files have been used to make images. If the remnant is dim and/or the flares large, then the images were made from the filtered evt2 files. Filtered evt2 files contain only the events from those chips where the SNR is located. Count rates of the near-by sources were determined from the UN-filtered evt2 file. |
