VIEW OUT OF THE WINDOW FROM  ARIZONE, USA

Hello!

Hope we're not too late.  Our whole class was excited to share with you what we see when we look out our window here, in Chandler, Arizona.  Our classroom has no windows, so we decided to go outside on February 2, 1998, and describe to you what we see.
You look out across the desert and you see endless roads and it sees almost as if you are in a dream.  It's cold; about 65 degrees F (cold for Chandler, anyway) and there has been a touch of fog this morning. It is cold enough to wear a light jacket or pullover, but a heavy coat might be too much.
You can see trees just beginning to bear the tiniest hint of the spring to come.  The new leaves are beginning to show themselves.  The wind whips your hair every now and again.  You can look up into the cloudless, sky and it is a magical blue that looks as if you might be able to cut it open and a whole new world could be revealed.
The sun shines over everything creating shadows in the distance.  One look to the side of you, shows the school just across the way.  Children are playing outside in Physical Education class, using their tiny arms, legs and hands. Some are swinging on the blue and red painted monkey bars and some are sliding down the orange slide.  Their delighted shrieks and squeals fill the air.
On the left, is a park full of pine trees and winding sidewalks, like a ribbon of cement.  Wooden benches sit along the side of the sidewalks and bushes pop up everywhere.  Flowers and plants grow and bloom; yes, even in the middle of February!
You can see the houses of the neighborhoods nearby, with their pink stucco walls and red tile roofs. Cars are parked near the houses and in the driveways.
This is what we see when we look outside our classroom.  We hope it paints a nice picture of our beautiful home.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Milnthorpe's class
