             Greetings from Italy. Here is Stefano. My teacher received your letter, she asked if a student wanted to answer to this and I accepted. I think you want to speak about birthdays traditions in my country and I write my story. 

           Birthday isn't the best holiday because the best is Christmas. Interested families prepare their homes or interest place, presents and entertainment for the party because birthday is celebrated with a party. The guest gives special cards to his ? friendsat school and they vare very happy because they can celebrate guest's birthdayand play all the afternoon or all the evening. In fact birthday is celebrated in the afternoon or in the evening. 

             When it is in the evening, there is a dinner with only best-friends at guest's home or, usually, at fast-food or at pizzeria. Usually dinner pizza, sandwiches, hamburger and a lot of drink. After dinner, at six o'clock, friends go to guest's home with a present. If thei don't know where guest live, they find a poster in the garden. On it "Benvenuti alla festa!". This phrase means: "Welcome to the party!". At seve o'clock, guest'svfather and mother bring all the boys at the pizzeria where they eat a lot. At ten o'clock party is finished and all friends go home. Usually this party is on Saturday because the day after all the boys are at home in fact anyone go to school. 

               When the party is celebrated in the afternoon, there is a special joyous atmosphere. In the morning guest's parents wake up their son like every morning but this day is specialk: in fact parents and brothers are kinder.They say "Auguri" (in English is "Wishes") and they prepere son's bag with book for school.When child go to school parents go to a special place and they prepare it for a big but especially beautiful party. They decorate it with wonderful posters or pictures and put all the food on the table. There are a lot of sandwiches, chips, pop corns and drink: Coke, orangeade or simple water. At four o'clock the first friends come with a present but they hide it under a table for a surprise. Guest doesn't know it and he/she greets his/her friends and gives each friend a little present to thank. When all the friends have arrived, outdoor games, football match and other entertainment begin. When all are tired, friends and guest go to a room where there is a lot of foods. They eat and surprises are revealed: mum and dad bring all presents the guest is very happy. He/she opens quickly all presents because he is excite. Then, mum takes a big cake with candles on it. They light these candles and the guest blows out all these candles. Now is time for the song: "Happy birthday to you" and then other outdoor games all the ivited go home because is too late and is time for dinner but all are flood! 
Notwithstanding the long afternoon mum prepares a good dinner for his son and she kisses he. At ten o'clock in the evening is too late and is time for go to bed. In fact mum and dad give lasts kisses at his son and :"Good night, honey".
