Title : Inferno

Author : Christopher Lutz
email - Lutz@Centre.edu
web - http://personal.centre.edu/~lutz

Misc. Info : I'm a Computer Science/English double major at
Centre College in Kentucky, though originally from
the terribly small Falls Church, Virginia.
I've been making levels for 2 years, but this is
the first thing I have released.

Description : A nine-level complete replacement for DOOM I, E3,
full of special effects such as:
- 3D bridges (over and under): levels 7, 9
- 560Ь spiral staircase: level 7
- Blastable walls: levels 6, 9
- Monsters rising from water: level 9
- Lots o' cool architecture
If you play nothing else, warp to level 7 -- it's probaly
the best level I have ever made.

Credits : Authors of WinDeu 5.2
Jed Leaf & Kyle Craddock (play-testers)

IMPORTANT STUFF
================================================================

I feel I must warn you about a few minor details. First of all, the
levels are large; most often, so large that the game crashes if you try to
save your progress. Be aware of this -- I personally don't care if
you warp to certain levels and give yourself some ammo, but I would
avise against giving yourself all the keys, as it destroys the gameplay
(I can beat every single level on ultra-violence starting only with a
pistol, however). I apologize for this problem, but I am not going
to change it since everything looks the way I want it to.

This leads me to my second point. I am a very visual person, and these
levels reflect that. There is a lot of detail and lovingly crafted
atmosphere, sometimes to the point that it eclipses pure lightning-response
action. Not that there isn't anything to maim, but if you all you desire
to do is blow the living hell out of animated imps, then you may wish
to look elsewhere (or at least skip to the second level of the episode).
However, if you appreciate looking at your surroundings and thinking that
the level could be a real place...well, I believe that I have achieved that,
and rather admirably in certain places.
