The basic direction of our works is development of new methods and devices for astronomical observations in different spectral regions, making observations and its interpretations.

Department includes: laboratory RATAN-600, Infrared Group and several another scientific workgroups, that leads any big different projects.

Department have close up scientific connections with Astro Space Center of Lebedev Physical Institute.
