GRB follow-up team

GRB 050824

Within the framework of a joint observational program (SAO RAS + Instituto de Astrofisica de Andalucia (IAA), Granada, Spain) on August 25 and 27, 2006, a variable optical object (optical transient) OT GRB 050824 was photometrically observed in SAO. The observer I.V.Sokolov. An optical identification was made in SAO with a CCD photometer of the 1-meter telescope by data of a satellite observatory SWIFT and with the use of optical data of the inernational monitoring of GRBs. On August, 27, the object (R~22) was observed with the 6-meter telescope in two photometric bands (V and R). Our data confirm a gap in the OT GRB 050824 light curve that was observed in about one day after the burst. A paper for A&A is being prepared.
