Chris Mihos was born and breed in the DC area and thus is an ardent Redskins
fan. He attended Caltech as an undergraduate. In search of a better
college football team, he went to the University of Michigan for graduate
studies. While there he worked with Dr. D. Richstone, an expert on galaxy
dynamics, and the budding Dr. DarkMatter, an expert on well, practicaly
nothing. Chris managed to survive the experience of theorist vs. observer
and produced a nice thesis detailing the kinematics of merging and/or
strongly interacting galaxies, with particular focus on what happens to
the gas content and subsequent star formation history of these systems.
He then went to Santa Cruz and is currently a PostDoc.
