1 Changes
Changes with respect to previous CCFs consist of one additional line being set bad at the read­out
end of all CCDs and the implementation of the July 2001 bad pixel table.
2 Scientific Impact of this Update
In order further to reduce noise, an additional 12 th line has been set bad at the read­out end of
all CCDs. Moreover, a new bad pixel table was implemented in the July 2001 database update.
This includes additional bad pixels which constitute a further clean­up of bad pixels caused by the
event in revolution 156, and those considered bad after the change of the offset map calculation to
``median correction off ''.
The CCFs reflect these changes taking into account the oscillation between the old and new
situations due to manual commanding and changes in the time­line.
3 Estimated Scientific Quality
Note that in all the EPIC cameras there are intermittent bad pixels that may arise in only one
exposure. The user is recommended to run the bad pixel finding algorithm, and remove after
processing.
