Accommodation Information
STScI has blocked 45 rooms at the Colonnade Hotel (4 West University Parkway, Baltimore
MD 21210, Tel.: 410 -- 235 -- 5400), within walking distance from STScI, at a reduced rate
($72.00 per night + tax). STScI will make reservations for participants on a first­come­
first­serve basis. Once these rooms are filled, reservations will be made for the participants
based on availability and rates at local hotels. Participants registering after February
23, 1996, are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Vans will be running
between the Colonnade and STScI in the mornings and evenings.
Alternatively, participants may make their own arrangements for accommodation at the
Broadview (Tel.: 410 -- 243 -- 1216). The rate is $50.00 per night (+ tax) for a single room
($54.00 per night + tax, for a double room). STScI has not blocked any rooms at the
Broadview, and hence the availability of rooms is not certain, and cannot be guaranteed.
Van service to the Broadview will also be available.

Payment of Fees and Deposits
The registration fee and the hotel deposit must be paid separately. Please do not send
a single check for both the registration fee and the hotel deposit. Payments for both the
registration fee and the hotel deposit should be sent to Cheryl Schmidt at the address
below.
The registration fee is $55.00 and should be paid by check made out to Space Telescope
Science Institute, in U.S. dollars. Unfortunately we cannot accept credit card payments
for the registration fee. Because the number of participants is limited to 50 it is important
to understand that sending in the registration fee will not guarantee that you will be able to
attend. If you are not able to attend then your check will be returned promptly. Please
send in your registration form early to help ensure that you will be able to attend.
The hotel deposit is equal to one night's stay at the Colonnade ($72.00). The preferred form
of payment is a credit card, in which case the appropriate information should be entered
above, in the accommodation section. Payment by check is also acceptable, however. If
you choose to pay by check, please enclose a check for the appropriate amount (in U.S.
dollars), payable directly to the hotel (The Colonnade).
