Galilei's telescope

Telescope (from tele... and scope) is an astronomic instrument for the celestial luminaries study on their electromagnetic radiation. The telescopes are divided into gamma-telescopes, X-rays and ultraviolet, optical, infrared and radiotelescopes. There are 3 types of optical telescopes: refractors (lens), reflectors (mirror), and combined (mirror-lens) telescopes. The first astronomic observations with telescopes (optical refractor) were carried by Galilei in 1609.
