The autometic interplanetary station "Luna-3".

"The Moon" is a series of soviet autometic interplanetary stations for the Moon and Space investigations; the programme of ther development. They are made for the mild landing on the Moon, putting into the Moon orbit, returning to the Earth ets. The maximum mass when landing on the Moon was 1,88 tones.

On board the station "Luna-3" was the phototelevisional apparatus, transmitting for the first time to the Earth the snapshot of the visible and 2/3 of invisible hermisphere of the Moon. Opened by "Luna-3" craters got the names of Tsiolkovsky, Curchatov, ets.
