	Christmas is undoubtfully the greatest festival in the Christian world. Christmas is a home and family celebration, and therefore those who live away try to get back home. Everyone is buying Christmas presents for friends and relatives; parents try to present their children with everything they want. A Christmas tree stands in the everybody's living-room at Christmas. In the earliest of time green trees were symbols of life. Candles at Christmas also go back to those times. People believed then that their light helped them to forget the darkness of winter. On Christmas Eve, when children are asleep, their parents come into their bedrooms and leave the presents near their beds or under the Christmas tree. The children are usually very happy when they know out that Santa Claus has come.
