Nuclear and Particle Physicists visit the Arecibo Observatory

A group of Nuclear and Particle Physicists that are in Puerto Rico participating in their Winter Workshop on Nuclear Dynamics visited the Arecibo Observatory on April 12, 2012. Dr. Robert Kerr Director of the Arecibo Observatory welcomed this group of 47 attendees and gave them an in depth presentation of the Observatory in generalˆà with details on the astronomy and astrophysicsˆà science conducted at the WorldòÀÙs Largest and most sensitive Radio telescope. Later the group was invited to visit the Control Room area and other scientific and Technical staff members like, Dr. Michael Nolan, Ellen Howell, Dana Whitlow, Phil Perrillat and visiting scientist Dr. Herb Carlsonˆà joined Dr. Bob Kerr in explaining the operation and investigations being conducted.
