Dr. Rafael Rodrigo Visiting Scholar

Dr. Rafael Rodrigo, former President of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) in Spain, is a Visiting Scholar since February, 2012 at the Ana G. M†éndez University System (AGMUS)-Universidad Metropolitana (UMET)-Arecibo Observatory (AO). Dr. Rodrigo will help implement the Ph.D. program in Astronomy and Atmospheric Science in collaboration with CSIC and universities from Spain. He will also work at the AO in the internationalization of the relations of the AO and AGMUS with European and Latin American research centers. During his visit to AGMUS-UMET-AO, Dr. Rodrigo will help disseminate astronomy at universities across Puerto Rico and will work with the scientific staff of the AO in research projects of mutual interest.
