ABSTRACT:
This proposal is to use the Arecibo telescope to give the ASTRO 513 "Observational Techniques in Astronomy" class at Penn State a hands-on exposure to radio astronomy. We propose to use the a2803 time to make the students participate in both the continuum and the pulsar observations and data analysis to understand the basics of radio astronomical observations.
