A deep search for a pulsar in the supernova remnant G64.5+0.9

We request 2.5 hours to search for radio pulsations from the recently discovered shell supernova remnant G64.5+0.9 using the ALFA receiver. The shell contains a centrally enhanced arcminute region of radio emission that is likely to be associated with the remnant. A radio pulsar detection would provide new constraints on the energetics and distance to G64.5+0.9 and improve our knowledge of the young pulsar population.
