Proposal Title: An HI-Optical Search for Dwarf Members of a Galaxy Group and for Low Surface
Brightness Galaxies
ABSTRACT:
An approach to detecting low surface brightness late-type galaxies, by searching for HI disks around objects that
exhibit only compact nuclear bulges in the Minnesota Automated Plate Scanner survey of POSS-I plates, will be
investigated. We will simultaneously expand the known dwarf galaxy membership of a galaxy group, and provide
high quality HI proles for group member spirals and dwarf irregulars.
