Deep Searches for Young Pulsars in "Shell" Supernova Remnants

This is the conclusion, now that the ALFA receiver is available, of a pro ject to observe most shell supernova remnants (SNRs) known at distances of less than 7 kpc, in order to search with great sensitivity for young pulsars that do not power observable pulsar wind nebulae. In this term, we request a final 7.25 hours of telescope time to survey two SNRs.
