The Stromlo-APM redshift survey provides a 3-dimensional sam-
ple with large enough sampling volume. It gives also the morpho-
logical type of each galaxy. This sample promises one to analyze
features of the large scale structures in the distribution of galaxies,
and the segregation of di erent morphological types of galaxies at
very large scales ( 100h 1 Mpc).
We construct three subsamples in our analysis. These are sam-
ples of early type galaxies (EL), late type galaxies (SP) and the
combined sample(EL+SP). We found from two-point correlation
analysis that all two-point correlation functions of these samples
oscillate at very large scales; And, they can be tted by a power
spectrum P(k) with a peak at about k=0.052 which is comparable
to a scale of 120h 1 Mpc { 130h 1 Mpc; This power excess at
certain scale is consistent with the results obtained by Mo et al.
(1992a,b) and Einasto et al.(1993); This power excess appeared
at so large scale and would be possibly caused by e ect appeared
at early stage of the cosmic evolution and can play a role as a
standard ruler (Deng et al. 1994).
Comparison two-point correlation functions of early and late type
galaxies shows that segregation exists at very large scales too.
