I also like to refer to our (China-UK-Poland-Germany-Ukraine)
recent paper (accepted in MNRAS) discussing the long lasting
black hole subsystems in globular clusters:

In this paper we discuss event rates of events like the one
which has been detected now. The black holes from which the
GW event originated (stellar mass black holes of order
~30-40 Msun in a merging binary) are found in our recent
N-body simulations.
