ASTELE™ 152MN (Astronomical Telescope)

The ASTELE™ 152MN is a Maksutov Newtonian with a built-in finder (US Pat.# 6,172,806 B1). The finder objective lens is attached to the telescope's meniscus corrector by a ultra-precision rotating housing. 

This housing allows rotation between the telescope and the finder. Whatever eyepiece you're using at the time is your finder eyepiece. So, you can have a low-power finder or a high-power finder depending on which eyepiece you have in the ASTELE™ 152MN. When you want to view through the telescope, you rotate the housing 180°, and vice versa for the finder. When you're doing photography, (35 mm or CCD), you can photograph through the finder before or after you take an image of your subject. This will give you a wide-field perspective of the area you're photographing.
Another great thing about the ASTELE™ 152MN is its optics. The ƒ-ratio in the ASTELE™ 152MN is 4.4, so, unlike telescopes with much longer ƒ-ratios, you're able to use low magnification (27.4 X, 2.3° with the 25 mm PlÆssl eyepiece) which produces bright images and wide fields of view for those dim galaxies, nebulae, and very large star clusters, but the ASTELE™ 152MN does an outstanding job on the moon, planets and double stars, too. Diffraction limited optics are multi-coated. The superb optics in the ASTELE™ 152MN make it a great instrument for doing astrophotography as well, delivering pin-point images over a 35mm format.
If you're looking for a telescope that's easy to setup, very portable, fun to use and has superb optics look no further. Ideal for the beginner or the advanced amateur.

The ASTELE™ 152 MN  is available in two models:

  • The ASTELE™ 152MN G (German Equatorial Mount, shown)

The ASTELE™ 152MN G comes with: slow-motion controls, setting circles, polar axis finder, accessory tray and fully adjustable aluminum tripod. 

Optical Tube and Cells are made from aircraft-grade aluminum
Photo adapter for standard cameras and lens shade are available separately.
