The manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz TMA-07M has docked with the International Space Station

Russian manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz TMA-07M has docked with the International Space Station (ISS) after two days of autonomous flight in low Earth orbit.

Approach to the station, its fly-around, sationkeeping and berthing were performed nominally in an automatic mode.

At 18 hours 9 minutes Moscow Time, approach contact of the ISS Russian Segment Rassvet MRM1 research module docking assembly port took place.

Lead Operational Control Team working at Moscow mission Control Center (MCC-M) commanded flight and the station and space vehicle systems state during rendezvous and docking. The Flight Director is the first Deputy General Designer of RSC Energia V.A. Soloviev.

Final flight operations during the process of space vehicle rendezvous and docking to the station were performed under supervision of the Chairman of the State Commission on conducting flight tests of manned space complexes, the Head of Roscosmos V.A. Popovkin and the Technical Director in charge of flight tests of manned space complexes, RSC Energia President, General Designer V.A. Lopota.

Transfer hatches were opened after a leak check of the space vehicle compartments and docking assembly, pressure equalization between the station and the space vehicle. Crew of the space vehicle had moved to the ISS Russian Segment.

The joint international crew of the 34-rd Expedition (ISS-34) began its work on-board the space station: Oleg Novitskiy, Evgeny Tarelkin, Roman Romanenko (Roscosmos), Kevin Ford, Thomas Marshburn (NASA) and Christopher Hadfield (Canadian Space Agency).

On-board systems of the ISS, and spacecraft Progress M-16M, Progress M-17M, Soyuz TMA-06M, Soyuz TMA-07M operate in design modes.

The representatives from Roscosmos and foreign space agencies were present at MCC-M during implementation of final operations of the space vehicle rendezvous and docking with the ISS.
