Today at 12 hours 59 minutes 35 seconds Moscow Summer Time, the Russian Soyuz TM-33 manned transport vehicle was launched by the Souyz-U rocket from Baikonur cosmodrome.

The Interstate Commission meeting was held with the aim to approve the following makeup of the Soyuz TM-33 crews. The prime crew: Viktor Afanasiev, Commander; Konstantin Kozeev, Flight Engineer and Claudie Haignere, Flight Engineer.
The back-up crew: Sergei Zaletin, Commander; Nadezhda Kuzhelnaya, Flight Engineer.

At 5:00 a.m. Moscow time launch vehicle with the Soyuz TM-33 spacecraft was transferred from Assembly and Testing Facility to launch site.
