We are coming to the end of 2012 with the accomplishments. The launch schedules under the ISS, Sea Launch programs are carried out completely. Significant and critical work phases on building a new-generation space vehicle, new ISS modules, unmanned spacecraft for national and foreign customers, launch vehicles with upgraded characteristics were performed.

A delegation of S.P.Korolev RSC Energia headed by A.V. Vovk, First Deputy General Designer returned from the Republic of Angola, where they took part in the activities starting an active project implementation phase in development of the Angosat satellite communication and broadcasting satellite system for this African country.

RSC Energia embarked on the activities under the project of free-flying space vehicle OKA-T to be serviced on the ISS
S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia embarked on the activities under the project of spacecraft OKA-T serviced on the International Space Station (ISS). Works are underway on development effort "OKA-T-ISS" in the Preliminary Design stage in accordance with the Federal Space Agency contract. Works completion date for in the Preliminary Design stage is November 2013.

Building new comfortable houses for Corporation employees
S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia continues to address the important social task of providing modern comfortable housing to the company employees.
Within the framework of the second phase of the residential area construction at the address: 30, Pionerskaya Street, Korolev city, Moscow Region, the 12th and 15th floors of the 8-section multi-storey apartment house No. 3 are currently being assembled. 456 apartments altogether are foreseen, including 157 one-room flats; 142 two-room flats and 157 three-room flats. A total area of the flats with due regard for balconies and loggias is 26 981 sq. m.

Manned space vehicle Soyuz TMA-07M was docked to the ISS
Russian manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz TMA-07M has docked with the International Space Station (ISS) after two days of autonomous flight in low Earth orbit.
Approach to the station, its fly-around, sationkeeping and berthing were performed nominally in an automatic mode.
At 18 hours 9 minutes Moscow Time, approach contact of the ISS Russian Segment Rassvet MRM1 research module docking assembly port took place.

Space vehicle Soyuz TMA-07M was launched to the International Space Station carrying R. Romanenko, K. Hadfield and T. Marshburn on board!
At 16 hours:12 minutes:35 seconds Moscow Time, transport manned space vehicle was launched from Cosmodrome Baikonur in accordance with the Mission Program of the International Space Station (ISS) and the commitments undertaken by the Russian side.
The launch objective is to deliver three crew members onboard the ISS in order to bring the strength of the thirty fourth Prime Crew (ISS-34) to six persons.

The State Commission meeting
The State Commission held its meeting at Baikonur launch site where the primary and backup crews for Soyuz TMA-07M were approved and the readiness of the space launcher system was confirmed.

At Baikonur launch site the preparations continue for the launch of Soyuz TMA-07M transport manned vehicle under the International Space Station program.
Soyuz launch vehicle was rolled out from the integration building to the launch pad. Soyuz launch vehicle with Soyuz TMA-07M transport vehicle is installed on the launch pad. L-2 days activities have been started.

A meeting of the Technical management under the chairmanship of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia President and General Designer V.A. Lopota and State commission was held. A decision on rollout of the launch vehicle with the Soyuz TMA-07M transport manned spacecraft to the launch facility and its preparation for launch planned for December 19, 2012 was adopted.

LV Soyuz general integration is completed

In the LV Integration and Checkout Facility, the basic integration of the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle with the upper composite has been completed.

RSC Energia commenced activities on flight item of Nauka module
S.P. Korolev Rocket-Space Corporation Energia commenced activities on preparation for conducting check-out tests of flight item of multipurpose laboratory module (MLM) Nauka.
From December 7 to 14 the specialists from RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev and SSRC after M.V. Khrunichev performed works on unloading flight item MLM from railway car and installed it on work bench in the main room of RSC Energia Integration and Test Center (KIS).

The team from S.P. Korolev Rocket-Space Station Energia has won the tender announced in October 2012 by the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) for building Scientific-Power Module for the International Space Station Russian Segment.

A council of IT-managers of companies in the rocket-and-space industry found it advisable to use the RSC Energia technical experience and practices in the field of information systems
RSC Energia hosted an extended meeting of the Council of an Inter-regional non-governmental organization "Community of IT-Mangers in the Rocket-and-Space Industry".
Its participants were welcomed by RSC Energia President and General Designer V.A. Lopota who spoke about the importance in today's world of developing the application of Information Technologies (IT) to mechanical engineering and, especially, to rocket and space industry, which represents one of its more advanced fields. He wished the participants in the meeting to successfully share their IT work experiences, and achieve further creative success in the development and application of these technologies to the development of advanced products and systems.

S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia held an extended session of the Corporation's Scientific and Technical Council to hear a report from the director of the Nuclear Physics Research Institute of the Moscow State University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor M.I. Panasyuk on the subject: "Cosmic-ray physics and near-earth radiation environment".
