I understand that the LAND tour price is $1,100.00 per person, double occupancy. I request to reserve a total of _________ spaces for the November 2012 Australia Total Solar Eclipse Expedition. My deposit (initial payment) of $300.00/person, payable to Bernard Volz is enclosed. I further understand that timely progress payments will be required of me, with an additional $400/person due January 31, 2011 and payment in full ($400 plus any price increase/person) due January 31, 2012. I understand that the following cancellation penalties apply with regard to the tour I am registering for (your application and payment of deposit constitute acceptance): 1. Before or on January 31, 2011, $100/person penalty. 2. February 1, 2011 ­ January 31, 2012, $300/person penalty. 3. February 1, 2012 ­ April 30, 2012, $700/person penalty. 4. The $1,100.00 per person price is on a LAND ONLY basis ­ airfare is at an additional cost to this price and is your responsibility. See the preliminary itinerary. 2. The price of $1,100.00 is an estimate and based on the current hotel and service rates and exchange rates as of October 2009. The price is anticipated to increase prior to the tour and the amount of this increase is not currently predictable. 3. The maximum group size for this tour will be 70 participants, therefore space is limited. 4. Single supplement available on request (likely to be $800). 5. Depart United States for Australia ­ flight not included. Arrive in Cairns, Australia. Accommodations at Hilton Cairns Hotel. Pre-eclipse meeting at Hilton Cairns Hotel @ 7PM. ECLIPSE DAY! Rise early for eclipse. Continental breakfast served. Celebration BBQ Dinner at Hilton Cairns Hotel. Post-eclipse meeting after dinner. Depart for return to United States or other destinations ­ flight not included.

The hotel while in Cairns will be the Hilton Cairns (http://www.hilton.co.uk/cairns) for 6 nights / 7 days. Rooms are "Deluxe Water View Rooms". The only meals included in the trip are the Eclipse day breakfast and BBQ dinner. All other meals are on your own. The Hilton Cairns is located in downtown Cairns and there are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There are also plenty of activity vendors in downtown Cairns offering a variety of day trips ­ scuba diving, snorkeling, bungee jumping, outback tours, etc. We may offer pre-arranged optional packages, such as for scuba diving. Please let us know if you have a particular interest. We plan to view the Eclipse from the Hotel property. This will avoid a very early morning bus ride and provide a more pleasant setting in which to view the Eclipse. Totality at the hotel will be 2m 0.1s (verses 2m 5s at the center line). We may also offer an extension trip, perhaps to visit more of Australia or New Zealand. Again, please let us know if you have a particular interest. We expect to provide suggestions in late 2011 (the earliest air can be booked) as to flight options and may arrange a group booking if there is sufficient interest. Remember that NO airfare is included in this pricing and it will be your responsibility to arrange your air travel.
