M-81 & M-82 This single frame photo of the two galaxies was taken on 4 May 2013 under darkish (for Westford) skies. The photo was taken with a full frame Canon 5D Mk-II fitted with an EF-400mm-DO lens. This 35 Sec. image was taken at f-5.0 and ISO 800, on a G-11 unguided mount while piggy backed on other scopes. Image was cropped and levels adjusted in PhotoShop. A minimal amount of P.E./trailing is evident when enlarged. |
