in Arizona and Ohio


Dear sirs,

First and foremost let us thank you for the opportunity you have given to
us to quote for the global
package for the above important shipment.

Cimi Spa imballaggi has in the past co-operate with our Organization for
three project destined in Iran for the Uhde Hoescht Group Germany ( frt
50.000) providing the complete packing whilst we provided for all shipping
operations.

Due to the good relationship Panalpina Worl Transport is submitting this
offer joing hands with Cimi Spa.

For the esecution of the scope of work the following subcontractors will
be used:

1) ARIENTI RENATO TRASPORTI S.R.L.

For the transportation of the M1 Dummy cell- Aluminizing Bell Jar - M1
Cells left and right

From Ansaldo yard up to the fluvial loading porto of Cremona
Transportation of the complete supply up to the loading port of Venezia
Marghera.
2) First class Fluvial and Sea Shipping line with classified and suitable
barge/vessel
3) Panalpina World Transport USA at the unloading ports.
4) Precision Heavy Haul, Inc. for the transportation of the major items
destined to :

Mount Graham and Safford base camp, Tucson Mirror lab


Supor & Son Trucking for the delivery to Columbus Ohio for the major item

including unloading

( as per your p/l doc. No. 401e 050 )





















Pricing


Packing in wood/plywood cases as per Cimi Spa offer attached. In the price
it will be also included
the protecion for the road transportation from Ansaldo up to the Fluvial
port of the M1 Cell, Dammy Cell, Bell jar up to the Cremona fluvial port
yard where the complete packing will be performed before shipping onto to
fluvial barge.
( This pre-package operation includes the covering the top ot the item and
protection to the lateral side of each item)

For these items as per your indication must be shipped before the major
items for which have considered that cargo can be stuffed into 4x40 o.t.
container and 1x20 o.t. container ( o.t. is a must due to the possible
loading operation by roof crane availability at Ansaldo )
The costs for this first shipment is : lumpsum of usd. 28.550.-






Weekly sailing

Total transit time 25 days at site

As alternative we can also offer conventional vessel with sailing every 25
days at a lumpsum rates of : lumpsum usd. 26.500.-
Transit time up to the site : 30/40 days.


Additional costs



Italian Customs formalities, based on the value of the goods

Port charges as per bill of export
Insurance all risks door to door : o,40% on the Cif Value
Customs clearing operation at the arrival port
Import duties, taxes, vat -if applicable- Duties, vat
Demurrage of trucks stading atsite after 4 hrs. free time.



Technical proposal


1) Packing procedure
As mentioned above for the item M1 Cell, M1 Dummy Cell,Aluminizing Bell
jar,
Due to trasport road restriction from Ansaldo up to the Fluvial port of
Cremona a
Pre-packing suibatle to avoid damage at the side and coverage with a
suitable sealed top
(modular component mounted and supported only on the esternal board of
the item sealed by silicon to prevent any water /rain damage)
The sea worth package will be completed at Cremona immediately after
arrival.
The above additional packing is in any case been included in the Cimi
Spa offer specification dated 14th of March already in your hands.
Please consider that Cimi Spa will need 2 motnhs for the prparation and
execution of the packing of the 79 cases.

2) Road Transport in Italy
Due to the limited stocking area (inside and outside) at Ansaldo
premises it will be necessary
to transfer immediately after the packing completion all items to the
loading port yard. For the
item M1 Cell, M1 Dummy cell, Aluminizing Bell jar, it will be necessary
to use the port of Cremona stocking area.
Furthermore due to the over dimensions of the above items to carry them
out of the building area it will be necessary to turn the piece at 90
gr. and to go out of the gate it will be necessary to knock down the
entrance wall as well the adiacent traffic light as well as many other
civil work, wire lifting ect. Before we reach theCremona fluvial port.
For the presentation of the road permit Cimi will supply the final
packing drawings and final packing list with dimensions and single
weight, lifting point , indication of the centre of gravity
Please consider that for obtaining all road permit and police escort 90
days will be needed for the 4 citical items and 45 days for the other
exceptional items which will be transported directly to the loading
port.






Time needed to transport the 4 item at Cremona port in normal weather
condition 7/10 days for each item, in case of fog or bad weather
condition 15/20 days may be needed.
For the booking of the fluvial barge 90 days pre-alert are needed which
will give us the time frame to also book the Ocean vessel.
The loading precedure of the 4 items will be directly from the fluvial
barge on to the ocean vessel by self lifting equipment.
3) Transport at destination
Our subcontractors need after receiving the final drawing, packing
list with final dimension and single wait, center of gravity point ect,
90 days to obtain the road permit for the 4 items and 45 days for the
exceptional items.
The transit time to reach the relevant sites will be effected by the
time of arrival at unloading port and weather condition.

In our offer we have considered to have in all phases of the operation
being packing , transport, loading in Italy and at unloading ports at
destination up to the delivery at site specialized personel both from
Panalpina and Cimi Spa in oder to secure the smooth process in all
operations relating this very important and strategic shipment.

Validity of our offer : 90 days


Payment condition : Ocean freight to be paid on b/l presentation


Transport and delivery up to FOB : at 30 days from
our bill date

Packing invoice at 30 days from the date of the
bill.
