This is the announcement of the School of Astrophysics "F. Lucchin"
for PhD Students to be held in Populonia (Piombino, LI) during the week
May 25-29, 2015.


AIMS OF THE SCHOOL

The School of Astrophysics "F. Lucchin" is adressed to PhD students in
Astronomy and Physics and it is open also to interested young
researchers. The aim of the school is to contribute to their
qualification and provide a common cultural baseline on hot topics of
international research, both observational and theoretical.
Each course is about 2 topics, in general not closely connected.
The courses will be held in centres placed in the neighbourhood of
different Astronomical Observatories and/or Universities to facilitate
the interaction between students and the local astronomical research groups.

The scientific organizing committee has chosen for the school the
following topics:

1. The chemical complexity of the Universe with ALMA

2. The Galactic centre

There will be the possibility for the students to present their
scientific activity in short talks.


REGISTRATIONS AND DEADLINES

The deadline for the registration is *April 13st 2015*.

It is possible to apply using the on-line registration form at
http://www.arcetri.astro.it/~lt/scuola2015/
Applicants will receive an email confirming their registration.

For practical reasons the maximum number of participants will be 60. In case more people apply, priority will be given to PhD students. The final list of participants will be given by 15th April 2015. Participants will have to confirm by 20th April 2015 that they will attend the school.
The school fee is 150 euro, including accommodation in shared room, breakfast and dinner at the Poggio allтАЩAgnello resort, and bus transport from/to the nearby train station. The fee should be paid before the registration deadline by direct bank transfer to the INAF account (see registration webpage).
