A pair of interacting spiral galaxies (UGC 12915 and UGC 12914 from left to right), imaged in the H-band filter with ARNICA at TIRGO. The two galaxies belong to a large sample of spirals (about 180  objects), selected in the Pisces-Perseus supercluster region, and subsequently observed by ARNICA. This wide database was  collected to study the near-infrared photometric and structural properties of spiral galaxies from a statistical point of view; in particular, it has been used so far to investigate the average internal extinction in galactic disks, and the structural characteristics of disks and bulges for objects of different  morphological type.
