Lower Light Baffle Installation: April 15, 1999

Due to popular demand, here are images of the recently installed lower light baffle. The light quality is a little low due to the enclosure over the telescope. Congratulations to all.

The lower light baffle is shown as the dark, 8-sided ring around the mirror, mounted on the white mirror cell, and just inside the blue cell mount.

 

The pleated sides of the baffle are black and butt up against the mirror cell. The baffle extends into the wind screen.
