How do have my images go into a different directory?

To put your images into a directory other than the standard /export/images you MUST create the directory from the dryrot prompt. This will make sure that permissions are set up correctly for SPIcam to write to your directory. Create the directory with the following command dryrot: mkdir /export/images/your directory Now when you set up the directory in spicam you need to type spicam: path /export/images/your directory This will now put the images into your directory.

What if I already created my directory, but not from the dryrot prompt?

Sorry, SPIcam must be the owner of the directory and therefore you must create it from Dryrot.

What if the filters listed in the startup screen, or when I list them, are not the ones that I have requested?

Ask the Observing Specialist to check to make sure that they installed the appropriate filters in the instrument.
