This is an interim version of XmCCD with a few recent changes and with
installation instructions for udev-based usb systems.


Tested with --

Suse 10.0


Should work with --

Suse 10.0, 10.1
Novell/Suse Enterprise 9.3 or 10 when available
Slackware 11 when available
Any other recent distribution with 2.6.13 or higher kernel and udev


Will not work with --

Slackware 10.2 or earlier
Any distribution using 2.4 series kernels or lacking udev

Known issues --

It is necessary to power cycle the camera to have xmccd recognize it a
second time, if you exit the program.

No support for LPT cameras in 2.6 series kernels.

Requires udev so the installation described here will not work on 2.4
kernel-based systems, or on very early 2.6 systems.

Filter wheel configuration has to be done in the source code at compilation
time.

Color images are shown as gray images, although all the information is stored.

No autotracking.

No subframe readout for focusing.
