Things to Do in Boulder, CO...

Boulder, CO is situated at the edge of the Rocky Mountains, just thirty miles northwest of Denver, CO at an elevation of 5,400 feet (1650 meters). The Flatirons serve as the backdrop for Boulder and provide many outdoor activities, from hiking and biking to rock climbing and kayaking. In August, the average high temperature is 85°F and the average low temperature is 58°F. Notice the relatively large cooling after sunset! Boulder has at least 300 days of sunshine every year, allowing for outdoor activities year round. While attending the ASP Meeting, make sure to take some time to get out and explore Boulder. Here are some recommended activities:

Go on a hike, walk, or ride Get out on the trails! The city of Boulder maintains 144 miles of trails in their
Open Space and Mountain Parks and many are right in town. It has 100 miles if bike paths. Visit a brewery. Colorado has more breweries per capita than any other state in the United States.
Many of the local restaurants brew their own beer, so you can sample the local brew without going on a brewery tour. Go on a free tour. Boulder has two main shopping districts that offer a variety of major retailers and local
shops. 1) Pearl Street is in the heart of downtown Boulder and is a walking mall that features local restaurants and shops and many street performers. All the conference hotels are within walking distance of Pearl Street.
