are happy to report that the Spektr-R space craft was ccessfully launched today (July 18, 2011; about 02:31 UTC ) the Zenit rocket and the Fregat-SB booster. has reached the targeted orbit, the booster has separated successfully, e first communication session tween the control station in Bear Lakes and the space craft nt well. e unfolding of the space radio telescope is expected in abo ut 5 days ter the launch.
