What we offer:
Members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of NY will come to your class and offer a grade appropriate science and astronomy lesson to your students. We will pick a few topics that coincide with your current lesson plan, engage the students in questions and answers, and then offer field assignments which the teacher can monitor.
Then we will, weather permitting, step outside and observe the sky with our telescopes. Objects usually covered will be the Sun, Moon, Planets, Stars, and Celestial Mechanics.
We offer this service free of charge to your school.
